What We Can Help With

For Your Desktop PC:

  • Graphics card upgrades: replacing older desktop GPUs, checking power requirements, fitting the new card and handling driver clean-up where appropriate.

  • Power supply replacements: fitting suitable branded power supplies to support new or existing components safely.

  • Cooling Overhauls: Fitting high-performance AIO liquid coolers, premium air towers, or performance chassis fans to lower system temperatures.

  • Case Swaps & Rebuilds: Safely transferring your existing components into a brand-new, modern case with clean cable routing.

  • Component Replacement: Diagnostic testing and clean replacement of failing desktop parts (such as motherboards, processors, or desktop fans).

  • BIOS and firmware updates: desktop motherboard BIOS updates, CMOS resets and configuration checks where appropriate for compatibility, stability or upgrade support.

For Your Laptop:

  • Memory upgrades: expanding laptop RAM where the memory is removable and supported by the device.

Storage upgrades: replacing or adding compatible SSD storage, including NVMe or SATA drives where the laptop design allows it.

Battery replacement: replacing failing or degraded internal laptop batteries where safe access, part availability and chassis design allow it.

Screen or display assembly replacement: selected laptop screen, panel or full display assembly replacement where suitable parts are available and the design allows safe replacement.

Thermal maintenance: internal dust cleaning, fan/vent cleaning and thermal paste refreshes where suitable for the model.

Software, BIOS and driver support: Windows troubleshooting, driver checks, BIOS/firmware update advice and general system health checks where appropriate.

Please note: Many modern laptops use soldered memory, soldered storage, glued assemblies or compact designs that limit safe upgrade and repair options. Send your exact model number and we will confirm what is realistically possible before quoting.

Service Pricing & Boundaries

How bespoke upgrade and repair pricing works:

Flat-rate fitting labour from £50: suitable for many straightforward desktop upgrades and selected modular laptop replacements. Parts, replacement components and specialist items are quoted separately.

• Larger jobs, unusual systems, case swaps, rebuilds, fault tracing and multi-part upgrades are quoted individually before any work begins.

• No parts are ordered and no physical work begins until the agreed scope, pricing and payment terms have been confirmed in writing.

• If a device needs work outside our current scope, such as board-level repair, micro-soldering, liquid-damage reconstruction, CPU/GPU rework, trace repair or complex electronic repair, we will explain this clearly. Where a paid diagnostic only confirms that the required repair is outside our scope, we will waive or refund that diagnostic fee.

What we do not currently offer

ConstructPC does not currently offer board-level repair, micro-soldering, liquid-damage reconstruction, CPU/GPU reballing, trace repair, console repair, handheld repair or complex electronic repair unless expressly agreed in writing.

If your device needs that level of work, we will say so clearly rather than attempting an unsuitable repair.

Flexible Payment Options

Upgrade and repair costs can vary depending on the device, parts required and agreed scope of work. Where available, secure payment options may include major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, PayPal Pay in 3, PayPal Credit or bank transfer.

Klarna, PayPal Pay in 3 and PayPal Credit are subject to provider availability, eligibility, status, approval and their own terms. PayPal Credit may offer 0% interest for 4 months on eligible single transactions of £99 or more, unless another promotional offer applies.

Final payment options will be confirmed before any order is accepted or work begins.

90-Day Workmanship Guarantee

Upgrade, repair and maintenance work includes a 90-day workmanship guarantee for the specific work completed. If the same issue returns because of the original workmanship, ConstructPC will inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the workmanship issue without an additional labour charge.

Where parts are supplied directly by ConstructPC, support can also be provided with applicable manufacturer warranty claims. Parts supplied by the customer may be handled differently, depending on their condition, source and warranty status.

This does not replace your statutory rights or any applicable manufacturer warranty. Full terms apply. View our Returns & Warranty Policy here.
